This is my entry for 's Goddess Hera contest.

Hera is (among other things) the protectress of marriage and especially married women. Maybe because she had experiences with marriage gone wrong and want's to keep others from having the same experience. Her husband Zeus wasn't exactly faithful to her. One of his many affairs brought forth Hercules. Hera was so mad, she sent two snakes to kill the child in it's cradle. The snakes didn't survive the encounter, Hercules strangled them. Zeus namely managed to trick Hera into breastfeeding Hercules, which gave him super strength and made the milky way come into existence by the way. Poor Hera, she did have to go through some things.
